Krisoye Smith is the head of quantitative research on the Sophus Capital Emerging Markets team. The RS Investments Emerging Markets team was renamed Sophus Capital in July 2016 when RS Investments was acquired by Victory Capital. Sophus Capital is a Victory Capital investment franchise.

Prior to joining Sophus Capital, Mr. Smith was the head of data science at Macquarie Asset Management, where he led a team of data scientists that created statistical and generative models for sales and distribution, marketing, and fundamental analysts.

Mr. Smith began his investment career in 2007 as an equity quantitative analyst at Principal Global Investors while completing his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

In addition to his MBA, Mr. Smith holds master’s degrees in computer science and financial engineering from New York University, and a master’s degree in statistics from Iowa State University.
