Half Court Heroes

Victory Capital's Half Court Heroes is an in-game promotion at select San Antonio Spurs home games, which allows a pre-selected military member, Veteran, first responder, or educator the opportunity to win $10,000. The Half Court Heroes participant has 45 seconds to complete a layup, three-point and half-court shot in that order to claim the grand prize. Since debuting during the 2022-23 season, there have been two Half Court Heroes grand prize winners.

May 2024 - San Antonio Employees Volunteer at Special Olympics Texas

In May 2024, Victory Capital’s San Antonio employees volunteered with Special Olympics Texas. Employees helped facilitate Track and Field competitions for thousands of participants during the four-day event. 


 

April 2024 - Victory Capital Employees Volunteer for San Antonio Food Bank

During National Volunteer Week, our Data and Analytics team packed more than 330 meals for the San Antonio Food Bank benefiting local children. The San Antonio Food Bank plays a vital role in providing meals to more than 100,000 individuals every week. Our team was eager to lend a helping hand and contribute to the mission of fighting hunger. The team volunteered their time to pack breakfast meals, sanitized food coolers, and distributed lunches for children in schools. 


 

January 2024 - Leap for Literacy Book Drive

In honor of Black History Month, Victory Inspiring Black Employees (VIBE), a Victory Capital employee resource group organized a book drive to help local students broaden their horizons through Black authors and representation in literature. VIBE donated a combined total of $1,107 worth of books to San Antonio Independent School District, Pershing Elementary and the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum. 


 

December 2023 - Fill the box for Toys for Tots

Women@Victory and Victory Vets, both Victory Capital employee resource groups, organize an annual toy drive during the holiday season for Toys for Tots. With donation boxes in our San Antonio, Cleveland, and San Francisco offices, we collected more than 400 toys to help children and families in need. 


 

August 2023 - Women@Victory Helps Families Nationwide Get Ready for Back to School

Women@Victory, a Victory Capital employee resource group organized back to school drives across offices in San Antonio, San Francisco, and Cleveland to collect reusable water bottles, backpacks, and school supplies. These donations helped equip children in our communities with the essential items they need for success as they head back into the classroom.


 

August 2022 - Victory Capital Steps up for Blood Drive  

Our colleagues in San Antonio, Texas office donated blood to the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center. 



Victory Capital Donates $60,000 to the Robb School Memorial Fund (Uvalde, Texas)

Gift includes a corporate donation, employee giving funds, and a matching gift from Chairman and CEO, David C. Brown

Employees from Victory Capital presented a $60,000 gift benefiting the Robb School Memorial Fund to Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (Uvalde CISD) officials on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. One month ago, 21 lives were lost at Robb Elementary School in the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. These innocent lives included 19 children, all fourth graders, and two beloved educators.

In response to the tragedy, Uvalde CISD created the Robb School Memorial Fund to support the victims and their families. Victory Capital and our employees generously responded to the call to contribute to the Robb School Memorial Fund.

The financial gift from Victory Capital included a corporate donation and funds donated by our employees. David C. Brown, Chairman, and CEO of Victory Capital, also provided a personal matching gift.

Nikhil Sudan, President of the Direct Investor Business for Victory Capital, presented the monetary gift to Uvalde CISD representatives.

“Our hearts break for the innocent lives lost in this horrific tragedy,” stated Sudan. “On behalf of Victory Capital and our employees, we are here to demonstrate our respect and solidarity with the victims, their families, and our neighbors in Uvalde.”



 

 


 

 


Victory Capital Supports Red Cross Disaster Relief

In the wake of the 2021 severe weather and the related water and power outages in Texas and across the country in early 2021, Victory Capital and our employees supported Red Cross Disaster Relief through an employee giving campaign, corporate donation and a matching gift from Victory Capital CEO David Brown. These efforts helped the Red Cross serve more than 81,000 meals and snacks to those in affected communities, distribute 16,400 comfort kits or relief supplies to help people with recovery, provide 7,700 overnight stays in Red Cross partner shelters and warming centers, and more.

 


 

San Antonio Employees Volunteer for San Antonio Food Bank

In December 2020, a number of Victory Capital's San Antonio employees volunteered with the San Antonio Food Bank and its crisis relief food distribution. The San Antonio Food Bank has fought hunger and fed hope during the pandemic and beyond. We’re honored to support their efforts!

 


 

Community partnership with The Children's Hospital of San Antonio

Founded in 1959, The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio is the leading children’s hospital in South Central Texas entirely dedicated to the care of children in a 90-county area. The facility provides quality, innovative care specifically designed to meet the unique needs of children.

Victory Capital partnered with the Hospital to provide "care packages” to families with infants in the Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (“NICU”). Items included in the care packages were donated by Victory employees, who also volunteered to stuff and deliver the bags!

 

 


 

Teaming up for a good cause

Victory Capital has also partnered with the Hospital to provide emotional care for children with serious medical conditions by creating a joyous and memorable experience at the San Antonio Spurs home games! Each child that participated in the program received two courtside seats to a home game along with club access amenities and parking and/or transportation.
